Jane Thorniley-Walker is a landscape artist living and working in Osmotherley, North Yorkshire.

Jane studied history at Cambridge, going on to work in academic history and archaeology publishing. Since 2006, she has prioritised her life-long love of landscape painting and in the past year has exhibited her work in a number of venues.

Jane has recently undertaken a number of private commissions as well as bringing together collections of paintings for exhibition. She works in a variety of media – but most enjoys oil and pastel.

Jane is also working on a children’s illustrated book on the early life of Elizabeth I – combining her two passions for history and painting.

Alongside the painting, a fascination for mosaics has resulted in a number of wall pieces, as well as various workshops for primary school children.
